Neutral Smokey Eye

If you are not a big fan of dark and dramatic makeup but still want to add definition to your eyes and enhance your natural beauty then a neutral smokey eye is the perfect look.

This look can be worn during the day or night and is also a popular choice for brides on their wedding day.

Wedding Make-up Trial

Here are a few photos I took when carrying out a make-up trial for my lovely bride to be and her bridal party. There are a few changes to make to the make-up so look out for the finished looks next month.

My Wedding Make-up

I haven't been blogging recently as I have been busy getting married!! So I thought I would write a post on what make-up I used for my wedding day and what new products I tried that worked wonders!

For  a wedding day everyone always looks for the perfect waterproof mascara that will give lashes lots of volume and last all day! I decided to try out a high street brand which i've seen a lot of good reviews on for mascaras and that was Bourjois.

I tried out their Volume Clubbing waterproof mascara and it is probably the best waterproof mascara I have ever used, it lasted all day and I never ended up with the dreaded panda eyes. The ultimate test was when I took it on honeymoon and I couldn't believe how it didn't budge even after swimming! Great product!

The second product which I took a lot of time deciding on was my lipstick I wanted something fairly natural but long lasting, again I chose a high street brand which was Mybelline.

I decided to try their Super Stay 24 Colour lipstick mainly to see if it actually did what it said it would and stay put! I did test this product a few days before my wedding and was pleasantly surprised as I applied the product in the morning and by evening the colour was still there as vibrant as it was when I first put it on.

This product comes in two steps, first you apply the liquid lip colour to clean, bare lips. Allow a couple of minutes to dry, then apply the ultra-conditioning balm to seal in in the softness and give the appearance of a glossy finish. Then just reapply the balm as and when you need it.

Fantastic product and one I would definitely recommend.

Bridal Make-Up Requests

It's less than 5 months until my Wedding Day and I'm starting to get some ideas together of how I want my make-up to look.

A lot of brides prefer not to have the stress of sorting out their own make-up by hiring a make-up artist to pamper them on the morning of their wedding, but If you are a do-it-yourself bride and are also looking for some ideas I would love to help :)

I'm always getting asked how I get my make-up to last and what are the best products to use so send me a request of your ideal make-up look for your big day and I will take the stress away and happily create something for you with a step by step guide of how to apply.

Bridal Beauty: Amber Heard inspired

These make-up looks are inspired by actress and model Amber Heard. Since working in Bridal make-up I have found that her photos are used quite often in Bridal magazines as examples of a classic and clean make-up look suitable for a Bride to be on her Wedding Day.

Amber Heard has two popular red carpet looks either smoky eyes and natural lips or natural eye make-up and dramatic red lips.

Here comes the Bride

The Spring/Summer Wedding season is here and every bride wants to look their best on their special day.

Wedding make-up should be an enhancement of what you usually wear, whilst defining your features a little bit stronger so they show up in photographs. You should feel completely comfortable in the make-up that you are wearing and take time to choose the right products that are going to last the full day.

Here is an example of a natural, flawless bridal make-up look using soft browns on the eyes and a light pink shade on the lips keeping the skin looking radiant.
